I had a question about how the cost-system works in showdowns.

Do you pick one cost or multiple?
I thought it was one, but there is a line about stacking costs.

If you can pick multiple, how do you stop players from declaring so many costs, it becomes impossible to fail the roll and their costs aren't actually in danger?

The can stack costs, but the GM and the player negotiate costs together and the max the benefit you can get is a plus 5. In addition in the full version of the rules (which I didn't write here (if you roll a 1, you always fail. That's fixed in the core book

Okay, that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying. I'm really excited for this system.

Hi Soulmuppets! These files are great but I think there are layout issues in the Print files that make them fold strangely. My adventure page 2 has four panels/pages that are upside-down after cutting and folding.

In Print B&W v3, page one (rules)  is correct and folds nicely. In page 2 (adventure), the top half length-wise (Characters, Far Wastes, Crownlands, Border Forts) should be upside-down like page 1.

In Print Colour v3, page one (Rules) is correct. Page two (adventure) has the same issue as B&W: the top half of 4 panels should be upside-down from the way it is now.

Keep up the great work. Your Kickstarter page looks awesome!

We're supposed to make two separate 8-page booklets, right? (just checking. ) Looking at the Digital file, meant to be read without folding, you may have to shift the panel order once a 4-panel top segment is turned upside-down in the adventure  Print files. In other words, make sure the "cover"  (Characters? How to Use This Adventure?) and back cover are where you want them and the interiors of the booklet read in the correct page order after folding. Thanks again.

You're meant to print the Print files onto both sides of an A4 piece of paper. This means that the rules side makes a little book when they're folded up, and then when you unfold the zine that the adventure is just flat page!

Ah, thanks! I'll try that.

Even if I weren't working on this one I'd be excited for it. The Reputation ability system is quick and refreshing. It's extremely easy to use and great for the dramatic scenes needed in a doomsday adventure game.

Cowboy Knights, Guns, and Dragons. What more could you want?
